Damaged Walls in Cutler Bay from Mold

The mold growth in this Cutler Bay condo occurred over time while the owners were up North. The humidity level was too high because no dehumidifier or air conditioning strategy was in force. Our SERVPRO technicians, who are highly trained in IICRC best practices, assessed the growth and mold damage and proceeded to demo (demolition) all the infested drywall and discard it according to local regulations. Once the walls were stripped down and exposed, we then sprayed an antifungal chemical to kill any remaining fungi or spores in that area. Deodorization of several rooms and the A/C duct work freshened the indoor air. We then primed the baseboards and the new walls (which we installed) in preparation for a final coat. Our trained CCT, Carpet Cleaning Technician, restored the flooring to an almost new appearance.
