A Broken Drain Means Your Home Needs Water Emergency Services in Three Lakes
Forgetting your tub upstairs is not the only way you might come to find your Three Lakes home's ground floor ceiling dripping with water. A broken drain can cause the same problem. While the water might flow under the upper story's floor and never get your feet wet upstairs, the ceiling downstairs tells another tale.
Even the best plumber in Three Lakes cannot help you with water removal in between floors. However, SERVPRO Franchise professionals can arrive fast and get the lost water extracted quickly and efficiently. Our IICRC-certified employees work together in teams to not only do this but to also get your home dry again. Rapidly restoring dry conditions protects your property from all kinds of harm that lost water can cause.
When we arrive, we start removing the water trapped inside your ceiling from the ground floor. We can see where any areas of the ceiling are releasing water, and this approach also keeps water from spreading before we can contain it. The less it spreads, the faster we can finish our work and make your home, "Like it never even happened."
When ceilings begin to bow down from the weight of the water, we remove the water through a series of tiny holes that move increasingly closer to the center of the lowest point. Once drained of lost water from the tub, we can put a tube into the ceiling, typically through a light fixture, and force air into the ceiling until it becomes suitably dry.
When lost water from a broken drain does end up in walls, we look to see if they contain insulation or if they hold dead space. Dead space allows for quick and easy drying, also with our Injectidry system and some tubing. Walls that contain insulation, typically exterior walls, require that we remove the insulation to dry out the structure.
The exception to this is closed-cell foam because it does not retain moisture. We can check with our moisture readers and thermal imaging cameras to see where pockets of water seem trapped, and which areas, if any, do not respond to our methods. We can alter them to ensure that we get your home thoroughly dry again.
